THEATRE

ILÉ LA WÀ (We Are Home) was the theatre offer from the Home Is... project.
Written by Tolu Agbelusi, directed by Anni Domingo and produced by Tolu and
Emmanuel Nwosu, this play was generously funded by Arts Council England and supported by
Counterpoint Arts.

Showing as an R&D at Contact Theatre Manchester in November 2016, it premiered to a
sold-out audience at Richmix London on 26 November 2016. Although the plan was to tour
the play in 2017, it wasn't until summer 2018 in collaboration with Stratford Circus London,
that the play had several sold-out productions during their refugee week program.
The small-scale tour was to continue in October 2018 but several unplanned circumstances
meant it almost didn't happen. In fact it wasn't until April 2019 that tour opened at Proteus
Theatre in Basingstoke.

Ilé La Wà had 7 shows in 2019 @ The Curve Leicester, Lowry Manchester, New Theatre
Royal Portsmouth,Proteus Basingstoke, Streatham Space and Arts at Stowe.
